Searching for the Daily Divine is an ongoing project since 2012. It explores themes like faith, nostalgia and humor in an urban context. The series focuses strongly on atmosphere and composition. It started out as a documentation of my surroundings both at home and while traveling.
In the course of the years subjects like churches, signs and old buildings became symbols of my exploration of the self. They reflect my eternal search for beauty around me and perhaps the quest for something higher. The series is shot on 35mm film with a point-and-shoot camera.
The pictures are moments captured before the ratio kicks in and I start to think about what I see and how I feel.
Searching for the Daily Divine is my diary from now and then.
